About
What is Tokos?
Created by writer, global analyst, and former journalist Myron Manns, Tokos is designed to help readers follow the most-cited stories of global news and events, gathered from the world’s major outlets. It is an independent multi-source news aggregator that groups the latest most-cited news stories across multiple major outlets so readers can compare different perspectives on world news.
How Tokos works
- Source grouping: Tokos reads public RSS feeds and groups related stories to show how different outlets report the same events. Outlets are chosen for articles readable without a subscription.
- No “bias” detector: We don’t tell you what you should think about an article or outlet. You decide what you want to read and compare across sources as you wish.
- Built for easier consumption: Get clear and concise news updates without endless social media-style scrolling.
Why Use Tokos?
- With the rise of social media, watching for trending subjects often leads to endless scrolling and swiping through feeds that deliver a lot of noise and very little news.
- Tokos lets you get straight to the point of the most talked-about news and events without distractions.
